Biography

Jacqueline M. Anderson is an Emeritus Professor at Concordia University specializing in Geography, Planning, and Environment. Professor Anderson's research interests encompass cartographic design and visualization, map user abilities, and education in map skills across various ages and competency levels. She is currently the Chair of the Working Group on 'Cartography for Children' under the International Cartographic Association. In her teaching, she has developed and taught courses such as GEOG 206 Maps and Mapping, GEOG 260 Mapping the Environment, and GEOG 466 Cartographic Visualization. Professor Anderson’s contributions include numerous publications related to cartographic education and the intersection of digital technologies and cartography.
