Biography

Jacquelyn Kasulis is a lecturer at Penn Carey Law and a partner in the Government, Regulatory & Internal Investigations Practice Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York. A seasoned federal prosecutor, she served as Acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, where she was a courtroom advocate and oversaw various significant criminal and civil matters. During her tenure at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, she investigated and prosecuted a wide range of criminal activities, including securities fraud and cybercrime. Kasulis held senior leadership roles, such as Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney and Chief of the Criminal Division, managing a team of 480 employees. She led high-profile prosecutions, including the conviction of hedge fund manager Martin Shkreli. In addition to her practice, she regularly speaks on legal leadership and has received multiple accolades for her work, including the Eastern District Association’s Charles E. Rose Award and the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation’s Prosecutor of the Year Award. She is also an adjunct professor at New York University School of Law.
