Biography

Jacques Hamel is currently an emeritus professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Montreal, where he has worked for thirty years. During this time, he was responsible for teaching and conducting research on youth, culture, epistemology, and qualitative methodology. He also established the tradition of hosting public lectures by prominent figures in sociology, anthropology, and epistemology.
