Biography

Jade Shi is an Assistant Professor at the School of Hospitality Business, Broad College of Business, Michigan State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Hospitality Tourism Management from Purdue University in 2022, her Master’s degree in Hospitality Tourism Management from Purdue University in 2017, and her Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from Beijing International Studies University in 2014. Prior to joining Michigan State University, Jade was an Assistant Professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology. Her research interests focus on sustainable consumer behavior, social sustainability in hospitality and tourism, and the dynamics of event and meeting management. Her scholarly work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals including the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, highlighting her contributions to both academic leadership and the integration of sustainable practices in the hospitality sector.
