Biography

Jaesung Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he also earned a Master of Science in Statistics. His academic background includes a Master of Science in Management Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Systems Information Engineering from Korea University. He is particularly interested in developing statistical machine learning methods and their application in modeling, analysis, design, and control of emerging advanced manufacturing processes. Additionally, his work encompasses operational planning methods for advanced production systems as well as the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions in smart manufacturing and healthcare service systems.
