Biography

Jafar Rezaei is a professor of Decision Science at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at TU Delft. He completed his PhD at TU Delft in 2012. His research focuses on behavioral decision-making, multi-attribute decision-making, and their applications in supply chain management and logistics. He is the developer of the Best-Worst Method (BWM), which has been widely adopted for various applications globally. Rezaei has also contributed to extensions of BWM, including Bayesian BWM and nonadditive BWM, which are used in diverse domains. In addition to his research work, he is a member of the Executive Board of the International Society for Multiple Criteria Decision Making and serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis. His teaching includes courses on Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis and logistics. He is actively involved in projects concerning logistics and Freight Mobility as a Service (FMaaS).
