Biography

Jafi Alyssa Lipson is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University, specializing in Breast Imaging. She graduated from Harvard College in 1995, earning her MD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. Following a preliminary medicine internship at St. Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco, she completed her diagnostic radiology residency at UCSF and became board-certified in June 2009. Her clinical work focuses on diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, MRI, and the development of minimally-invasive biopsy techniques. She has conducted significant research into mammographic density and its correlation with breast cancer risk, as well as insights on early cancer detection and innovative imaging biomarkers for treatment response. Dr. Lipson is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America. She also contributes to educational initiatives regarding breast cancer risk and imaging technology innovations.
