Biography

Jagjeet Jutley-Neilson is an Associate Professor and Reader (Teaching Focused) in Psychology at the University of Warwick. He serves as the Director of Student Experience Progression and leads the Neurodiversity Network, emphasizing the creation of inclusive and equitable learning environments in higher education. His work focuses on co-produced projects aimed at enhancing the experience of neurodivergent students, including the development of the Neurodiversity Toolkit and support for disabled students. He provides both online and in-person neurodiversity training for staff and students and leads research related to the experiences of neurodivergent postgraduate researchers, with a concentration on improving support and academic progression. Jutley-Neilson's research includes participatory studies on mental health experiences among autistic students and the dynamics of research participation within the autistic community. He is also dedicated to studying the educational experiences of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic students, exploring the intersection of race, identity, and pedagogy in higher education. He co-developed the Inclusive Psychology Toolkit grounded in anti-racism principles and facilitates the University of Warwick’s anti-racism staff development program, Tackling Racial Inequality Warwick, which equips staff with the tools to address and challenge racial inequality in educational practices.
