Biography

Jagruti Ramsing Thakur is an Assistant Professor and researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in the Department of Energy Technology. She earned her Ph.D. in Energy System Analysis from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, focusing on energy policy and renewable energy in India. Prior to her current role, she served as a project executive for GIS-based urban planning projects in India. Dr. Thakur has received the Bhaskar Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) fellowship from the Indo-US Science Technology Forum (IUSSTF) in 2016 and has contributed to the Energy Analysis & Environmental Impacts Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, California. In recognition of her outstanding doctoral research, she received the POSOCO Power System Award (PPSA) in 2017 for her contributions to power system operation in India. With extensive experience supervising Master's theses, she is currently mentoring Ph.D. students and is actively involved in projects with Swedish municipalities aimed at providing solutions for network planning and infrastructure optimization. Her research interests include Demand Side Management, Digitalization of Energy, Local Energy Communities, Energy Storage, and Energy Systems Modelling.
