Biography

Jake Kendrick completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Engineering Science and Pharmacology, followed by a Diploma in Physics, a Master's in Physics (Medical Physics), and a PhD in Medical Physics. He has a strong interest in the utilization of artificial intelligence and computational techniques for the analysis of medical images to enhance precision medicine approaches in patient management. His research primarily focuses on the use of AI for the automated detection of metastatic prostate cancer, radiomics, and the derivation of imaging biomarkers with prognostic significance across various molecular imaging modalities. Currently, Jake is a leading member of the UWA Machine Learning Cancer Research group, which was awarded the distinguished Award Programs Enhance Learning by the School of Physics, Mathematics and Computing in October 2022. In addition, he is a member of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) AI Working Group, which is committed to preparing the college for expected professional changes due to the clinical implementation of AI-based solutions.
