Dr. Jakob Wolf

Biography

Jakob Wolf is an Associate Professor emeritus at the University of Copenhagen, focusing on Systematic Theology. He obtained his Master of Theology in 1978, followed by a Ph.D. in 1984 and a Dr. Theol. in 1990. Before joining the University of Copenhagen in 1995, he served as a minister in the Danish Lutheran Church from 1983 to 1995. His primary fields of research include Ethics and Philosophy of Religion, particularly addressing topics like phenomenology, bioethics, and the relationship between science and religion. His current research examines ethical views of nature, phenomenological concepts of God, and aspects of modern philosophy such as panentheism. With a background in theological studies, Wolf has contributed extensively to both academic lectures and public discourse regarding religion and ethics, including numerous conference participations and media contributions.
