Dr. Jakub Kolarik

Biography

Jakub Kolarik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. His expertise lies in the areas of indoor environment and air quality, focusing on heating, air-conditioning systems, and human responses to indoor conditions, which critically impact productivity and well-being. He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Silesian University of Technology and has worked in various research roles at DTU since 2004. Kolarik has published extensively with 14 publications and 3 peer-reviewed articles, contributing to significant research projects such as the Clear-up project funded by the European Community. His skills extend to dynamic building simulations and he actively engages in collaborative projects aimed at improving ventilation efficiency in residential buildings. Kolarik also participates in educational initiatives tied to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and is committed to advancing knowledge in indoor environmental quality and energy-efficient building designs.
