Biography

Dr. Armontrout is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. He is the Program Director of the Stanford Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship and has completed his residency training at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program, followed by a forensic psychiatry fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Prior to joining Stanford, Dr. Armontrout was a staff psychiatrist at the Palo Alto VA Healthcare System, where he worked in the Trauma Recovery Program, focusing on PTSD and trauma-related disorders as well as substance use disorders. He also served as the Medical Director of the Trauma Recovery Program. In addition to his fellowship activities, Dr. Armontrout currently serves as an attending psychiatrist at the Stanford PTSD clinic, where he focuses on dual diagnosis treatments.
