Biography

James Choi is a Professor of Finance at the Yale School of Management, where he engages in research centered on household finance and behavioral finance. His notable work includes exploring the impact of automatic enrollment on pension plan design and the effects of social identity on preventive health behaviors. Professor Choi is a two-time recipient of the TIAA Paul Samuelson Award for outstanding scholarly writing, recognizing his contributions to the field of lifelong financial security. Professor Choi obtained his Ph.D. in Economics and A.B. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
