Biography

James Daley is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, with a focus on emergency ultrasound research. His research interests include resuscitation diagnostic testing, particularly the use of point-of-care echocardiography in critically ill patients, as well as novel endovascular interventions for resuscitation. He serves as a principal investigator for a trial assessing the use of resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) as an adjunct to advanced cardiac life support in non-traumatic cardiac arrest patients. Additionally, he leads a study to collect 3-dimensional ultrasound images to inform the development of artificial intelligence algorithms for ultrasound imaging. Daley has authored textbook chapters and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency and Ultrasound Research fellowship at Yale University/Yale-New Haven Hospital and earned his MD, MS, and MPH from Boston University.
