James Doelman is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Writing Studies at Western University. His research primarily focuses on manuscript poetry and prose from the early seventeenth century. He is particularly interested in manuscript-based evidence, authorship attribution, and English semantics, especially within the political sphere of the period from 1600 to 1660. In addition to his research, Doelman teaches courses on sixteenth and seventeenth-century literature, Poetics, as well as the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis.
