James Dorling joined the School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing at the University of Glasgow in 2021. He completed his undergraduate degree (BSc) in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Bath, graduating in 2013. His research primarily focused on the influence of calorie restriction and physical activity on weight, aging markers, and eating behaviors. His research interests encompass the impact of nutrition and physical activity interventions on obesity-related endpoints and biomarkers of aging, regulators of appetite and eating behaviors, and changes in appetite and eating behaviors in response to health interventions. He leads the Obesity Weight Management Specialisation course in the MSc Human Nutrition programme at the University of Glasgow.
