Professor Dr. James Herbison

Biography

James Herbison is an Adjunct Professor at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, where he specializes in Strategy. With a background in law, Herbison has extensive experience in antitrust and competition law, handling complex civil and criminal litigation, government enforcement investigations, and corporate counseling. He has served as a partner at Winston & Strawn leading the firm's Illinois Antitrust/Competition practice, demonstrating a particular focus on antitrust matters such as price-fixing, market allocation, and merger enforcement. In addition to his legal practice, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom, teaching courses that survey essential legal concepts relevant to managers and entrepreneurs. Herbison's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management from Beloit College and a Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an associate editor of the law quarterly.
