Biography

James L. LaBelle, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago, specializing in Cancer Biology. His clinical interests encompass adolescent and young adult cancer care, pediatric oncology, including leukemia and lymphoma, as well as stem cell transplantation. LaBelle’s research focuses on the mechanistic roles of bcl-2 genes, graft-vs-host disease, and immunomodulatory therapies, particularly in the context of pediatric hematology.
