Biography

James William Nelson Novoa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Ottawa. With extensive expertise in Hispanic literature and philosophical studies, he has contributed significantly to the field through various academic roles, including affiliations with institutions such as the Universidade de Lisboa and the Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies at Carleton University. His academic journey began with a Licenciatura in Philosophy from the Universidad de Valencia, culminating in a deep engagement with the cultural and historical dimensions of literature. Over the years, Professor Novoa has held various research appointments, including work at the Instituto de Estudos Medievais and Laboratorio de Estudios Judeoconversos.
