Biography

Professor Puckett’s research focuses on tax policy and tax administration, particularly the federal tax system and its impact on income and wealth inequality. His recent scholarship has explored unique procedural aspects of tax administration, notably the anti-abuse tools available within the field. He has examined the role of personal circumstances and expenses in relation to tax liability. Prior to joining Penn State, Professor Puckett served as a visiting assistant professor at Seattle University School of Law and the University of Alabama School of Law. He has also worked as a tax associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he was involved as a law student on the Article Review Board of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology.
