Biography

James Rourke is a retired rural generalist family physician who served as Dean of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland from 2004 to 2016 and as a Professor of Family Medicine until retirement in 2019. He continues to engage in rural health research and medical leadership activities as a Professor Emeritus. Rourke has been a member of various health working groups and boards, focusing on quality care and healthcare accountability.
