Biography

James Russell is a Professor Emeritus specializing in Roman early Byzantine art, archaeology, and Greek Latin epigraphy at the University of British Columbia. With an M.A. from Edinburgh and a Ph.D. from Chicago, he has dedicated his career to teaching and researching ancient Mediterranean studies.
