Biography

Professor of Global Child Health at Imperial College London and Consultant in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at St. Mary's Hospital in London. He completed a PhD in Cape Town, focusing on drug-resistant tuberculosis in children, and has attained diplomas in Tropical Medicine and Paediatric Infectious Diseases. In 2017, he spent six months at Harvard University on a Fulbright Scholarship, evaluating strategies to combat drug-resistant tuberculosis in children. From 2018 to 2022, he held an MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship to evaluate the correlates of risk for children exposed to multidrug-resistant tuberculosis.
