Biography

Jamie Brehaut is a Full Professor in the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa and a Senior Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, where he leads the Methodological Implementation Research Program. He holds a PhD in Human Perception and Cognition from McMaster University. His research focuses on Knowledge Translation and Implementation Science, specifically using psychological theories to support behavior changes in health care. His interests span a wide range of clinical disciplines including emergency medicine, critical care, oncology, lab medicine, and public health. Dr. Brehaut is also a member of the Centre for Implementation Research at the Ottawa Methods Centre, contributing to the advancement of implementation strategies in health care settings.
