Biography

Jamie Draper is an Assistant Professor at the Ethics Institute of Utrecht University. His research is primarily focused on political philosophy, particularly applied issues such as environmental justice, social justice, global justice, climate change, migration, and urban politics. He authored the book 'Climate Displacement', published by Oxford University Press. Before joining Utrecht University, Jamie served as a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow in Politics at Nuffield College, University of Oxford, and as a Teaching Fellow in Political Theory at the University of Warwick. He obtained his PhD from the University of Reading in 2020. Additionally, Jamie is an Associate Editor for the journal 'Res Publica' and is recognized as a member of the Utrecht Young Academy.
