Biography

Jamie N. Jones serves as the Director of Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship and is an Associate Professor of Practice in Management at the Fuqua School of Business. With a robust background in promoting entrepreneurship, Jones previously held the position of Executive Director of the Fuqua Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, where notable initiatives were launched to assist marginalized communities, including the FoundHER pitch competition for Black founders. They co-founded an investment firm, Impact Engine, aimed at aligning financial returns with positive social and environmental impacts. Additionally, Jones has experience as an Innovation Advisor at RTI International, where they worked at the intersection of technology and market needs. Their extensive international experience in agriculture, education, and health has further solidified their expertise in social entrepreneurship and business model optimization.
