Biography

Jamie Limjoco is an Associate Professor and Interim Division Chief in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He is a founding medical director of the Level IV NICU at the American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH), where he has successfully developed over 50 guidelines, policies, and procedures for neonatal care, particularly for medically complex patients. Limjoco has played a significant role in enhancing pregnancy and neonatal services in the region by working closely with maternal-fetal medicine colleagues and nursing leadership. He leads the NICU Family Wellness Committee at AFCH, focusing on improving communication and respect for diverse families, particularly racial minorities and non-English speakers. Limjoco has also contributed to the formation of neonatal neurocritical care, telemedicine, and transport programs. In his clinical practice, he instructs on neonatal resuscitation and is involved in multiple simulation classes related to the Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. His clinical interests include utilizing telemedicine and advanced technologies to enhance neonatal health outcomes, alongside expertise in amplitude integrated electroencephalography (aEEG), neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NAVA), and heart rate characteristics (HeRO).
