Biography

Jamie Penner is an instructor at the College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Jamie teaches undergraduate nursing courses in Supportive Palliative Care and Family Health. Her scholarly work emphasizes collaboration with communities to improve caregiving experiences and promote the wellness of family caregivers. This research informs educational strategies for clinical nursing education, enhancing the palliative care approach. Jamie has received funding from reputable organizations such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Manitoba Medical Services Foundation, with her research disseminated at various local, national, and international conferences.
