Biography

Jamie R. Wisser, MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. His ongoing research focuses on the clinical applications of laser technology in the field of cosmetic scar revision surgery. Dr. Wisser is involved in the development of combined arthroscopic and minimally invasive wrist reconstructive procedures as alternatives to traditional joint fusions and salvage wrist procedures. His current clinical research is centered on the application of micro-cellular transplantation and fat-derived pluripotent stem cells for the treatment of patients with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome and for regenerative soft tissue restoration in cases of traumatic hand and upper extremity injuries, as well as for the reconstruction of 3rd degree burns.
