Biography

Jamie Yuen is a Clinical Pharmacist Lecturer at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Jamie completed a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy at UBC, and also underwent a community pharmacy residency. In her clinical practice, she serves as the Assistant Director at the UBC Pharmacists Clinic and coordinates the third-year elective in primary care pharmacy practice. Additionally, she co-leads the nephrology module in the Entry-to-Practice PharmD program. Her research focuses on innovations in primary care practice, pharmacy education, and the role of digital health and generative artificial intelligence in the profession. Throughout her academic career, Jamie has received recognition for her presentations and was awarded the BC Patient Safety Quality Council Storyboard Winner for her work in enhancing pharmacy education through innovative activities. Jamie is also involved in several funded projects aimed at improving pharmacist roles in patient care, particularly within the context of community health.
