Dr. Jamieson Myles

Biography

Jamieson Myles is a Teaching and Research Fellow at the University of Geneva's Department of History, Economics and Society, where he is also associated with the Paul Bairoch Institute of Economic History. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Lausanne and both an M.A. and a Ph.D. in economic and social history from the University of Geneva. His academic journey also includes a visiting researcher position at the University of Oxford’s Faculty of History, participating in the ERC project 'Global Correspondent Banking, 1870-2000.' Myles has previously held visiting positions at Harvard University and Humboldt University of Berlin. His current research focuses on political economy and trade finance during the first half of the twentieth century, with a book project titled 'Steering Wheels Commerce: State Enterprise International Trade Finance, 1914-1929.'
