Biography

Jamol Pender joined the faculty at Cornell University in July 2015 as an Associate Professor in the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University in 2013, and both his B.S.E and M.S.E degrees in Electrical Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008. Before coming to Cornell, he was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia University. His research interests include queueing theory, applied probability, Markov processes, control theory, and mathematical finance.
