Biography

Jan-Egbert Sturm is a Full Professor of Applied Macroeconomics at ETH Zurich, serving as the Director of the KOF Swiss Economic Institute since October 2005. He has a rich background in economic research, having previously headed the Department of Economic Forecasting and Financial Markets at the Ifo Institute for Economic Research in Munich. He held a professorship in Economics with a focus on Macroeconomics and Monetary Policy at the Center for Economic Studies (CES) at the University of Munich.
