Dr. Jan Adamowski

Biography

Jan Franklin Adamowski is a Professor and William Dawson Scholar specializing in Integrated Water Resources Management at McGill University’s Macdonald Campus. He is also the Associate Director of the Brace Centre for Water Resources Management. His expertise encompasses a range of fields including environmental sustainability, soil and water management, and climate change. Adamowski's research interests focus on collaborative and adaptive water resource management, integrating participatory modeling of human-water systems, and applying artificial intelligence in hydrology. His work seeks to address food and water security, particularly in Arctic and Northern regions, while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Through his interdisciplinary approach, he aims to enhance ecosystem resilience and develop effective strategies for managing natural resources.
