Biography

Jan Bílek is a PhD fellow at the University of Copenhagen in the Section of Forensic Chemistry. His current research focuses on the analysis of sedating antihistamine drugs in hair using LC-MS/MS. The aim of his work is to establish reference values for selected antihistamines following single dose administration, which will enhance the interpretation of antihistamine findings in forensic investigations, particularly concerning drug-facilitated crimes. He holds a Master's degree in Clinical Bioanalysis from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, awarded on June 3, 2019, and another Master's degree in Clinical Toxicological Analysis from Charles University, awarded on June 12, 2017. Jan has collaborated with various research areas over the past five years, contributing to shared publications and projects in his field.
