Biography

Jan Carlsson is an Adjunct Professor in Communication, Antennas, and Optical Networks at Chalmers University of Technology. His research interests focus on computational electromagnetics and include electrically small antennas, measurement techniques for small antennas, and numerical techniques in electromagnetics and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Jan has a background in the research field of antenna systems and has served as the Assistant Centre Manager at the Chalmers Antenna Systems VINN Excellence Centre from 2002 to 2004. He has also held the position of Chairman of the Swedish IEEE EMC Chapter and led the research at the Electronics department in the EMC section at the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden.
