Biography

Jan Pravsgaard Christensen is a Professor of Immunology at the University of Copenhagen, where he has held various positions since 1995. He received his Master of Science degree in Biology in 1993 and completed his Ph.D. in Health Science in 1998. His research focuses on immune responses to viral infections, including effector cell migration, effector molecules for virus control, and the induction and maintenance of T-cell memory. He is currently involved in developing vaccines for viral and bacterial infections. Throughout his academic career, he has collaborated extensively and is an active member of the Danish Society for Immunology, Flow Cytometry, and Virology. He serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals. His educational contributions include teaching postgraduate courses in immunology.
