Biography

Jan Paul Crielaard is a Full Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. He specializes in Mediterranean Pre- and Protohistorical Archaeology. Besides his teaching and research duties, Crielaard serves as an Associate Editor for Brill's series on History and Archaeology of Classical Antiquity since March 2014.
