Biography

Professor Grabowski's research includes issues surrounding the extermination of Polish Jews, Jewish-Polish relations during the 1939-1945 period, and the involvement of Polish 'Blue' police in the Holocaust. He is the author of several monographs, including 'Hunt Jews: Betrayal and Murder in German-Occupied Poland' (Indiana University Press, 2013), which won the Yad Vashem International Book Prize in 2014. He has received multiple academic honors, including the Professor of the Year Award from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa in 2014, and was named a Distinguished University Professor in 2023. He teaches undergraduate and graduate seminars on Holocaust history and has delivered keynote lectures at prominent institutions worldwide on topics related to Holocaust education and memory.
