Dr. Jan Sandqvist

Biography

Jan Sandqvist is a Senior Associate Professor at Linköping University, specializing in work rehabilitation and the assessment of work ability. His research has focused on developing methods to assess work ability through various instruments, mainly the Assessment Work Functioning (AWF) and the Assessment Work Performance (AWP). These frameworks facilitate the evaluation of individuals' capabilities to meet job demands, integrating aspects of human occupation into rehabilitation practices. Sandqvist's work in this area has expanded to include an emphasis on evidence-based rehabilitation interventions and the translation of assessment tools into multiple languages to enhance their accessibility. He coordinates courses related to work rehabilitation in the Occupational Therapy program at Linköping University.
