Jan Svensson received his Ph.D. degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden in 1998. From 2009 to 2014, he was the Program Manager for the global R&D program "Active Grid Infrastructure" at ABB Corporate Research. Currently, he is a Senior Principal Scientist in Power Electronics Systems at ABB Corporate Research. His research interests include the design and control of power electronics and power systems, as well as power quality, storage technologies, and renewable energy.
