Dr. Jan Trzaskowski

Biography

Jan Trzaskowski is a law professor at Aalborg University, specializing in the legal regulatory aspects of information technology with a particular focus on data protection law, consumer protection law, and fundamental rights. He has been actively involved in various roles, including as a member of the Danish Radio Television Board and the Ethics Advisory Board of Neurons Inc. He is also a member of the Danish Marketing Law Association. Jan led the Danish delegation that negotiated the EU e-commerce directive from 1998 to 2000 and has experience as a partner at a law firm. He is the founder and editor of Ex Tuto Publishing A/S and has a strong track record of research activities, including numerous publications, conference presentations, and guest lectures. His current research includes projects related to the ethical development and deployment of deep learning approaches in health data and the intersection of law and artificial intelligence. Jan Trzaskowski continues to be an influential figure in the domains of law, ethics, and technology, contributing to discussions and developments in these critical areas.
