Dr. Jan Van Den Ende

Biography

Jan van den Ende is a Professor of Management Technology Innovation at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. His expertise lies primarily in the development processes of new products and services within firms. He has a keen interest in firm-internal and external idea management, control of new product development projects, and the design management of sustainable innovations. Jan has contributed extensively to various prestigious journals including the Journal of Management Studies, Organization Studies, Harvard Business Review, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. In addition to his research, he serves as an editor and reviewer for multiple academic journals. As part of his teaching responsibilities, Jan is involved in MBA and Executive Education programs, presenting workshops and courses for firms such as ASML and FrieslandCampina. He holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology and has experience as a visiting professor at LUISS University in Rome, Italy, focusing on horticultural innovation. His work has significantly impacted both academic and practical domains of management, especially in innovation management.
