Biography

Associate Professor Jan J. Zylicz seeks to understand how the embryo’s environment affects development from conception to birth. His team studies how the environment sensed by the embryo influences its energy production, which directly impacts gene expression. Using state-of-the-art technology, they provide deep mechanistic insights into these processes. An improved understanding of how the embryo adapts to altered environments may help enhance the efficiency of in vitro fertilization (IVF).
