Biography

Jana Kreppner's work focuses on the impact of early experiences on development, particularly interested in the role of relationship experiences, especially caregiver-child and peer/friend relationships, on typical and atypical development. She studies the factors influencing relationship experiences and their effects on children's development. Jana uses her expertise to inform the development of relationship-based interventions to promote the wellbeing of children and young people. Her research is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, National Institute for Health Research, Waterloo Foundation, and Wellcome Trust. Jana applies both quantitative and qualitative methods and has extensive experience conducting longitudinal research across childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood. Currently, she is involved in a range of interdisciplinary collaborations that span Psychiatry, Paediatric Neurology, Psychology, Education, Social Work, Public Policy, and Law.
