Jane Cornwell joined the University of Edinburgh as a lecturer in Intellectual Property Law in October 2010. She graduated from the University of Cambridge and is a qualified solicitor (non-practising) in England & Wales and Scotland. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of IP rights, with particular interests in trade marks, design law, and IP remedies, especially regarding the impact of European harmonization in these fields. Jane’s recent published work includes empirical research on Intellectual Property enforcement in Scotland, funded by CREATe, the RCUK Centre for Copyright and New Business Models in the Creative Economy, and she is actively inviting proposals for PhD research in her areas of expertise.
