Biography

Jane Jacoby is a Visiting Clinical Lecturer in Law and Co-Director of the Environmental Protection Clinic at Yale Law School. Her work primarily focuses on supporting community groups, Indigenous peoples, and environmental litigation through administrative advocacy. Prior to her current role, Jacoby served as the Conservation Director at the Yaak Valley Forest Council in Troy, Montana. She was also an Environmental Law Fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Jacoby holds an A.B. in Mathematics and Classics with honors from Brown University, a Master of Forestry from Yale School of the Environment, and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School. During her law studies, she was awarded the Colby Townsend Memorial Prize for her writing as a second-year student. Her written work has been published in Jacobin, Urban Lawyer, and Persephone.
