Biography

Jane Kraut is an Instructor II at the College of Nursing, University of Manitoba. She is involved in teaching palliative and supportive care as well as community clinical practice and family health. Jane is a part of the nursing college's simulation team. Previously, she practiced as a visiting nurse with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority in the Palliative Care Program and worked as a hospital-based case coordinator in the Manitoba Homecare Program before joining the College of Nursing as a clinical education facilitator in 2016 and a simulation facilitator in 2018. As an educator, Jane shares her passion for palliative care and community health with her students and is committed to inter-professional collaboration in healthcare and upstream approaches to health and well-being. Prior to her nursing career, Jane spent ten years in private business, focusing on finance, accounting, and human resources.
