Biography

Jane Xia joined the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia in January 2019. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia, followed by an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Toronto. With extensive experience in diverse pharmacy practice areas, including community, hospital, regulatory, and industry settings, she has built strong professional relationships with healthcare providers, including physicians. In 2018, she led a team at London Drugs to launch a Hepatitis C Screening Program at selected community pharmacies, successfully establishing partnerships with patient advocacy groups and healthcare teams. Her current research interests encompass patient journeys in chronic diseases, with a clinical focus on women’s health. Jane Xia has received the Killam Teaching Prize for the 2023/2024 academic year and has been recognized by the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences for her contributions to teaching and student engagement.
